Formatting Guidelines

  • Do not exceed two pages, including references, figures, and tables.
  • Margins should be 1 inch (2.54 cm) on all sides.
  • Use Arial font, 10 pt for body text, and 9 pt font for tables and figures.
  • Replace this instructional text with the text of your abstract.
  • Do not change formatting.
  • Presentations should be either original research that has been substantially completed or a literature review that has not yet been published as a full paper in a scientific journal.
  • Abstracts must be written in English and be free of grammatical errors. Ensuring linguistic accuracy is the sole responsibility of the author. Abstracts that are not well written and do not conform to the guidelines will be rejected.

A literature review should contain:

  1. Introduction/Background Information
  2. Body of the Review (Discussion of Sources)
  3. Conclusion and/or Recommendations
  • If tables, graphs, or figures are included, they must fit within the 1-inch (2.54 cm) margins and page limits.
  • Include table and/or figure titles, units, indications of the statistical approach, and significance levels.
